PDP Consensus Candidate Adebisi Accepts Nomination, Unveils Unity-Driven Agenda for Ifedapo Constituency

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for the Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West Federal Constituency (Ifedapo), Adebisi Adeniyi Olabode, has formally accepted his nomination ahead of the 2027 general elections, pledging inclusive leadership and unity across the constituency.

His acceptance followed what has been described as a historic endorsement by the PDP, with the candidate expressing deep appreciation to Seyi Makinde, party elders, and stakeholders for their roles in achieving a consensus.

In his acceptance speech, Adebisi characterised the mandate as a shared vision for a more prosperous and united constituency, noting that the collective efforts of party leaders made the consensus possible.

Addressing the constituency’s religious and cultural diversity, the PDP flagbearer stressed that his candidacy transcends religious identity. Though a Christian, he said he stands as a servant of all, assuring that religion would not be a dividing line under his representation.

He emphasised that Muslims, Christians, and traditional believers in the constituency have long coexisted peacefully, adding that such diversity should continue to serve as a foundation for cooperation, understanding, and peace.

The candidate also outlined a six-point agenda that will guide his legislative focus if elected into the House of Representatives. Central to his programme is inclusive representation, with a commitment to ensuring that all wards and communities across Saki and Atisbo have a voice.

He further highlighted plans to promote youth and women empowerment through job creation, skills development initiatives, and support for female participation in leadership. On infrastructure, Adebisi pledged to prioritise road development, improved healthcare access, and quality education.

In addition, he identified economic growth as a key priority, promising to harness the constituency’s trade and agricultural strengths. He also assured constituents of accountability and accessibility, vowing to end what he described as an era of distant representation.

Calling for unity within the party and across the constituency, Adebisi extended a hand of fellowship to fellow aspirants and political stakeholders, urging them to work together in the interest of good governance.

He also appealed to religious and community leaders to continue promoting peace, insisting that the diversity of the Ifedapo constituency should remain a source of strength rather than division.

Adebisi concluded by urging residents to see his emergence as more than a political development, but as the beginning of a new phase of purposeful leadership aimed at building a better future for the constituency.
