The Conference of Local Government Information Officers (COLGIO), Oyo State Chapter, has congratulated and warmly welcomed Pastor Adeola Omoyeni Oduola on his posting as the new Permanent Secretary of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission.

In a press release issued on March 11, 2026, and signed by the General Secretary of the conference, Olusola Akindeji, the body expressed profound joy over the appointment, describing it as a significant development for the commission and the local government system in the state.
On behalf of Local Government Information Officers across Oyo State, the conference stated that Pastor Oduola’s wealth of experience, dedication to public service and commitment to ethical leadership would bring renewed vigor, administrative excellence and progressive reforms to the commission.
COLGIO noted the strategic importance of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission in strengthening grassroots governance and enhancing service delivery across the thirty-three local government areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.

The conference expressed confidence that under Pastor Oduola’s leadership, the commission would continue to advance policies and initiatives aimed at promoting efficiency, professionalism and sustainable development within the local government system.
The body also pledged its continued cooperation, loyalty and professional support in promoting government policies, programmes and activities through effective information management and dissemination.

While praying for a peaceful, productive and successful tenure for the new Permanent Secretary, the conference expressed hope that his time in office would be marked by wisdom, sound judgment and significant progress for the benefit of the commission, the local government workforce and the people of Oyo State.
