Ansar-Ud-Deen Society High School, Saki, has launched a donation appeal to support its participation in the Oyo State @ 50 Anniversary Football Match, following its qualification to represent Saki at the state-level sporting event.

The anniversary football match is scheduled to be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, as part of the activities marking the 50th anniversary of the creation of Oyo State.
In a statement issued by the National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society High School, Saki Old Students Association, Hon. Adekunle Tunji Rafiu, signed by the National Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Azeez Rasheed Tunde, stakeholders, old students and well-wishers were called upon to support the school’s participation. The organisers described the match as more than a football encounter, but a celebration of legacy, unity and pride, noting that every contribution, no matter how modest, would go a long way.
According to the appeal, the school’s qualification presents a rare opportunity to project its image, legacy and sporting excellence, while also showcasing the pride of Saki land on a state platform.

To ensure a dignified and competitive outing, support is being sought in several key areas, including the provision of imported football jerseys, soccer boots, buses for players and supporters, general logistics, match footballs, as well as hoses and training accessories. The estimated budget for the exercise is ₦1 million.
To guarantee transparency and smooth coordination, a Local Organising Committee (LOC) has been constituted and entrusted with managing the support drive. Members of the committee include Salami Mukaila Adedoyin as Chairman; Alhaji Tunde Azeez as Secretary; Mr Egbinola Tajudeen as member; Hon. Abdulhakeem Shuarau Adeak; and Mr Salaudeen Musah Oyedokun.

Members of the public and supporters have been encouraged to donate either in cash or materials. Financial contributions can be paid into the designated First Bank account, Account Number 2021043286, Account Name: Hon. Adekunle Tunji Rafiu. Donors are advised to share evidence of payment on the designated platform for accountability, while donated materials will also be duly acknowledged.
The donation window for the exercise runs from Thursday, January 22 to Tuesday, January 27, 2026, as organisers urged supporters to also help spread the appeal widely.
