The Saki West Local Government has been thrown into mourning following the death of its Supervisory Councillor for Youth and Sports, Hon. Ganiyu Ayuba.

In a condolence message issued on behalf of the government and people of Saki West Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Akinola, said the council shared deeply in the grief of the family of the late councillor, who was described as having been taken by the cold hands of death.
Hon. Akinola described Hon. Ayuba as a committed, hardworking and dedicated public servant whose contributions to youth and sports development in the local government would remain memorable. He prayed that Allah (SWT) grants the deceased Aljanah Firdaus.
The condolence message was signed by Hon. Gbenga Akinola, Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government.

Similarly, staff of the local government, led by the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Ajuwon Ibrahim, also commiserated with the bereaved family, the Executive Chairman and other political office holders over the loss.
Meanwhile, sympathisers were reported to have trooped in large numbers to the family residence of the late Hon. Ganiyu Ayuba to offer condolences and support to the family.
