The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced another reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), bringing the new ex-factory rate down to N699 per litre, marking one of the refinery’s most significant price cuts this year.

The latest adjustment, confirmed on Monday, reflects the facility’s ongoing review of operational efficiency and market conditions. According to the management, the decision aims to ease the financial burden on Nigerians and support economic stability as the year draws to a close.
This reduction follows a series of downward reviews introduced throughout 2025 as the refinery continues to increase production capacity and optimize distribution channels. Industry analysts say the new pricing is expected to trigger further adjustments across filling stations nationwide in the coming days.

Marketers also expressed optimism that the fresh cut will help stabilise pump prices and reduce transportation costs, which are often driven by petrol fluctuations.
With this latest review, the Dangote Refinery reinforces its position as a critical player in Nigeria’s energy market and a major driver of price moderation in the downstream sector.
