The Majority Leader of the Saki West Legislative Arm, Hon. Salaudeen Kabeer Adebayo, has reinforced his educational development agenda with the award of full academic scholarships to three outstanding Mathematics students of Shaikh Nurudeen Memorial College, Saki.

The beneficiaries — Adesope Yusuff (JSS 1), Tajudeen Aisha (JSS 2), and AbdulJelil Salaudeen (JSS 3) — were unveiled during the school’s prize-giving programme after emerging as the best performers in Mathematics across their classes.
Hon. Adebayo, who is also the founder of the Hope Never Dies initiative, said the scholarship programme is part of a broader effort to deepen academic excellence, promote STEM education, and support exceptional young minds in Saki West. He emphasized that education remains central to breaking poverty cycles and building a skilled, future-ready generation.

He explained that the Hope Never Dies initiative is founded on the belief that no child should be denied opportunities because of economic constraints, adding that the empowerment of gifted students must involve collaboration between government, schools, and community stakeholders.

“Our goal is to raise confident, innovative young people capable of reshaping the future,” he said. “Recognising these brilliant students is not just a reward — it is a motivation for others to aim even higher.”
The principal of Shaikh Nurudeen Memorial College, Mr. Moshood Yisau O., praised Hon. Adebayo’s consistent support for education, noting that his interventions have significantly improved students’ motivation, access to learning resources, and overall academic performance.
He described the lawmaker’s contribution as one that strengthens the school’s academic culture and inspires learners: “He is investing not just in students, but in the future of our society.”
The Hope Never Dies initiative, known for its targeted empowerment programmes, mentorship efforts, scholarships, and support for vulnerable families, continues to draw commendation from community leaders. Stakeholders say it exemplifies participatory leadership and urged more public officeholders to adopt similar educational empowerment strategies.

Parents of the scholarship recipients expressed deep gratitude, describing the gesture as transformative and a major relief for their families. Teachers also noted that the recognition of excellence is likely to stimulate greater interest in STEM subjects, particularly Mathematics.
Reaffirming his long-term commitment, Hon. Adebayo said his office will continue to invest in education, youth empowerment, and community-driven development while calling on private individuals, alumni groups, and organisations to join in strengthening the educational system in Saki West.

“With every child we support, we take another step toward the prosperous Saki West we envision,” he said.
