Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, will on Monday, November 24, 2025, lay the 2026 Appropriation Bill before the Oyo State House of Assembly.

According to a statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the forthcoming presentation will mark the seventh budget estimate Governor Makinde has brought before lawmakers since he assumed office in 2019.
The statement recalled that the state government recently concluded a series of Stakeholders’ Consultative and Engagement Meetings across the seven geopolitical zones of Oyo State. The meetings, held a few weeks earlier, were designed to gather residents’ inputs and expectations ahead of the 2026 fiscal proposal.

It also noted that the state’s Executive Council, along with Ministries, Departments and Agencies, wrapped up the Treasury Board Meeting on the budget estimate on Monday, signalling the final stage of internal preparation before its formal presentation.

Dr. Olanrewaju added that the governor is set to deliver the budget to the Assembly as scheduled.
