As Muslims commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC–Oyo South) has called on the faithful to embrace the Prophet’s virtues and teachings in their daily lives.

In a goodwill message he signed on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, Senator Alli extended his warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world, urging them to reflect deeply on the life, character and values of the Prophet.

“Eid-el-Maulud is not just a time for celebration, but a moment for deep reflection on the life, teachings and character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

“His unwavering commitment to truth, justice, compassion, humility and service to humanity remains a beacon for all of us to follow in these challenging times,” he said.

The lawmaker stressed the need for Muslims to emulate the Prophet’s dedication to peace and harmonious coexistence, especially in today’s diverse and often divided society.

“As we mark this important event in the Islamic calendar, I urge Muslims to emulate the noble qualities of the Prophet, particularly his dedication to peace and harmonious coexistence among people of diverse backgrounds.

“Our society today needs more such values to overcome divisions and build a more united and prosperous nation,” he added.

Alli encouraged Muslims to take advantage of the spiritual significance of the celebration to engage in deeper devotion, prayer for Nigeria and acts of kindness, especially to the less privileged.

According to him, let’s support one another and remain steadfast in faith, even in the face of economic and social challenges.

He also called on religious leaders and scholars to continue to preach moderation, tolerance and peaceful co-existence.

“These are values the Prophet stood for, and they are essential for the development and stability of our dear country, Nigeria.

“On behalf of the good people of Oyo South Senatorial District, I wish all Muslims a joyous, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Maulud.

“May the lessons of this season continue to guide our actions and bring lasting peace and prosperity to our nation,” Senator Alli concluded.
