The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the release of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.

The announcement was made on Monday, August 4, 2025, via WAEC’s official handle on X (formerly Twitter). The Council expressed satisfaction in notifying all candidates who sat for the 2025 WASSCE that their results are now available online.
Candidates who participated in the examination can now check their results by visiting the official WAEC result portal at http://waecdirect.org.
WAEC also advised students to ensure they have their result-checking PIN and examination numbers ready, as both are required to log in and access their performance records.
However, the Council noted that candidates might experience temporary delays in accessing the portal, as the result-checking platform is not yet fully activated.
“All candidates are advised to remain patient and check back shortly, as full access will be restored soon,” the statement read.
The release marks a crucial milestone for thousands of candidates across West Africa, as the results will determine their next steps in tertiary education and career progression.
