    NULGE Integrity Group Launches Statewide Campaign in Oyo, Promises Unity, Welfare, Progress for LG Workers

    The NULGE Integrity Group has officially flagged off its state-wide campaign ahead of the August 7, 2025 elections, with a vibrant and well-attended event held in Saki West Local Government, marking the beginning of a promising journey across the zones of Oyo State.

    The campaign train, led by its Director General, Alhaji Tajudeen Adeniji, made its first stop in Oke-Ogun zone, where it was welcomed with excitement, funfare, and a show of solidarity. Delegates and stakeholders from the entire Oke-Ogun zone were fully represented, alongside other representatives from other political zones in the state.

    Following the successful outing in Saki, the campaign moved to the Ogbomoso and the Oyo/Afijio zones, both of which recorded similar enthusiastic receptions and fruitful engagements. The Integrity Group is set to continue its outreach in Ibarapa and Ibadan zones in the coming days.

    Among key figures in the campaign train are respected labour leaders and stakeholders, including Comrade Akogun Abass Bogunmbe, Alhaji Khalid Ajibade, Alhaji Moshood Adedokun (Galaxy), Comrade Sulaiman Kadiri, Comrade Jimoh Taiwo, Comrade Steven Aderounmu, Alhaji Olarewaju Waheed, Comrade Saheed Oyinloye, Comrade Ismail Salami, Comrade Aderogba Dauda, Comrade Alidu Lawal, Comrade Azeez Ismail, Comrade O. Shina, Comrade Olawuwo Adams, Comrade Obagbemiro Ibrahim, Comrade Alidu Lawal, and Comrade Olatunbosun, among several others.

    At the heart of the Integrity Group’s campaign is a progressive vision anchored on unity, inclusive leadership, welfare promotion, and structural development. The group has outlined a comprehensive agenda designed to reposition the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Oyo State for a brighter and more inclusive future.

    Key highlights of their agenda include:

    Inclusive governance and branch empowerment: The group pledges to establish a responsive administration that recognises all zones and strengthens the role of branch chairmen and stakeholders in policy and decision-making.

    Direct benefits and career support: The team is committed to ensuring direct benefits for members, including statewide souvenir distribution, active support for career advancement, and attention to members’ welfare at all levels.

    Zonal development and property acquisition: Plans are underway to establish zonal offices and acquire NULGE properties in each zone to promote union economic stability, equity, fairness, improve communication, and enhance employer-employee relationships.

    Dignified retirement and timely entitlements: The Integrity Group promises to establish a well-organised retirement programs and ensure the timely disbursement of retirement benefits for outgoing officers.

    Training, capacity building, and communication: Emphasis will be placed on regular training and retraining of members, with consistent visits to branches to encourage input, feedback, and open dialogue.

    Empowerment and welfare packages: The group plans to create an organized women’s platforms across LGAs, initiates welfare support during official – exams, and introduce a well-celebrated State NULGE Week to highlight and appreciate members’ efforts.

    The Integrity Group is fielding a formidable team of candidates for the NULGE Oyo State Executive Council elections, including:

    Comrade Folorunsho Basheer Adelere (Eko) – Welfare Officer

    With the slogan “NULGE Integrity Group… Success is Ours”, the team has vowed to serve with transparency, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of every NULGE member in Oyo State.
