The Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON), Oyo State chapter, has ushered in a new leadership team, signaling a fresh drive toward the advancement of the automart business in the state.

The inauguration ceremony, held today at the association’s office in Idi-Odo, Challenge, Ibadan, brought together key stakeholders, past leaders, and members from various zones and units, underscoring the significance of the transition.

Leading the new team is Asiwaju Kolawole Olurinde of A-Plus Motors, who assumes office as Governor. He will be supported by Adeniran Abdulrosheed as Vice Chairman I and Prince Oyedele Adebayo as Vice Chairman II. Other executives include Oduola Kolawole (General Secretary), Adegboyega Adekunle (Assistant Secretary), Alhaji Ahmed Akero (Financial Secretary), Olagoke Akinsoju (Task Force Commandant), Lawal Mojeed (Task Force Marshal), Rahman Ismail (Social Secretary), Azeez Wahab (Treasurer), Falola Ayoola (PRO), Olabiyi Rasheed (Chief Whip), and Ganiyu Sakiru Alao (Auditor).

In his inaugural address, Asiwaju Kolawole Olurinde expressed appreciation to the outgoing caretaker committee, led by Alhaji Wasiu Ahmed Alobalowo, for steering the association through a crucial phase and setting a strong foundation. He pledged to build on their achievements, promising a progressive and member-focused administration.

The new Governor also commended the Electoral Chairman, Com. Ojebunmi Dele Ajibona, and his team for conducting what he described as the most credible election in the association’s history. He assured members that their welfare would remain a top priority.

Speaking at the event, the outgoing caretaker chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Alobalowo, and the association’s pioneer Governor, Apostle Akanbi Taiwo Adewale, expressed confidence in the capabilities of the new executives. They urged them to uphold unity, transparency, and an open-door policy to ensure a successful tenure.

The ceremony concluded with the formal presentation of certificates to the newly inaugurated executives, marking the official beginning of their four-year leadership term.
