The Oyo State government, under Governor Seyi Makinde, has approved the recruitment of 902 officers into various cadres within the state’s Civil Service.
Spanning 60 distinct cadres across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, the recruitment drive also includes Education Officers for 35 teaching subject areas under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
Chief Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, disclosed that successful applicants would receive their appointment letters by the end of January 2025.
Highlighting the broader implications of the recruitment, Aderibigbe described it as a milestone that would foster multisectoral development across the state. He lauded Governor Makinde for his leadership and achievements in infrastructure, education, agriculture, and healthcare.
“This recruitment exercise touches every home and marks an unprecedented step in enhancing the state’s workforce,” Aderibigbe said, urging the newly recruited officers and residents to recognize the governor’s contributions to the state’s progress.
The approval underscores the administration’s dedication to strengthening Oyo’s Civil Service and advancing its development goals.
