The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called out the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a party that “preys on the hardships of Nigerians,” adding that the APC’s tenure of governance will end in February 2027.
The PDP condemned the APC’s attacks on Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, labeling these actions as a desperate display of insecurity. The party highlighted that Governor Makinde has a proven record of prioritizing the needs of the people, both within Oyo State and through his collaboration with fellow PDP governors to foster democracy and resist what it describes as APC’s attempts to dominate Nigerian politics.
PDP spokesperson Hon. Debo Ologunagba stated that the APC’s failure is evident in Nigeria’s rising unemployment, failing infrastructure, economic hardship, and the deterioration of critical sectors. Citing a drastic increase in food prices, exchange rates, and fuel costs, the PDP condemned the APC’s “alternate reality” in claiming Nigeria is on the verge of prosperity.
Highlighting the stark contrast in governance, Ologunagba noted that PDP-governed states continue to drive substantial development and empower citizens, establishing them as beacons of growth amidst nationwide challenges.
The PDP declared that the APC’s manipulation tactics will not deter Nigerians from demanding better governance. The party asserted that Nigerians will soon consign the APC “to political irrelevance” as they embrace the PDP’s vision for national recovery.
