Alhaji Sulaiman Lawal Oroyinyin, the Chairman of the Saki West Local Government Muslim Community and a retired Commissioner of Police, has paid tribute to the late Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso, OFR, JP, describing him as a pillar of the Saki community whose contributions to Oyo State will be remembered for generations.
In his message of condolence, Alhaji Oroyinyin commiserated with His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, acknowledged the deep bond between the Governor and the late Chief Koleoso. He noted that Chief Koleoso’s mentorship and leadership had a profound impact on the political landscape of Oyo State, and his absence would be felt across the state.
Alhaji Oroyinyin also extended his heartfelt sympathies to His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Surv Khalid Olabisi Oyedepo III, the Okere of Sakiland, recognizing the late Chief as an illustrious son of Saki who worked tirelessly for the progress and unity of Sakiland. He commended Chief Koleoso’s efforts to foster development and peace in the region and urged the Okere to take solace in the remarkable legacy the Chief left behind.
In his message, Alhaji Oroyinyin also expressed condolences to the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Saki West Local Government, Rev. Okunlola Olalere and all Christians in the community, highlighting Chief Koleoso’s role in promoting religious harmony and understanding.
He further commiserated with the Saki Parapo Association, both at home and abroad, noting that Chief Koleoso was a beacon of unity and development for all Saki indigenes. His leadership in the association helped unite the sons and daughters of Saki for the advancement of their community.
In his closing remarks, Alhaji Oroyinyin urged the people of Saki to carry on Chief Koleoso’s legacy by continuing to work for the unity, peace, and progress of the region, ensuring that his vision for a better Sakiland lives on.
