The Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaleye Akinola, has paid glowing tribute to the late Chief Dr. Adeniyi Michael Koleoso, describing his passing as a profound loss to the people of Saki, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole. Akinola praised Chief Koleoso for his remarkable contributions to the development of Saki and his unwavering dedication to public service.

According to Akinola, Chief Koleoso’s leadership was rooted in his deep love for his community and his visionary approach to governance. “Chief Koleoso was more than a leader; he was a father to the people of Saki. He worked tirelessly to put Saki on the map and secure its place in the national discourse,” he said.

Transformative Impact on Saki and Beyond

Hon. Akinola highlighted several of Chief Koleoso’s key achievements, which have left a lasting legacy for the community and future generations:

    • Community Advocate: Chief Koleoso was instrumental in ensuring that Saki became a focal point for development, transforming it into a hub of progress and activity.
    • Educational Advancement: His passion for education led to the establishment of critical institutions such as the Polytechnic, the School of Nursing and Midwifery, and a significant increase in secondary schools from 2 to 15.
    • Infrastructure Improvements: Through his efforts, several township roads were constructed, and housing estates were developed, significantly improving the quality of life in Saki.
    • Agricultural Growth: Chief Koleoso also facilitated World Bank Agricultural Projects in Saki, which bolstered the local economy and improved livelihoods for countless families.
    • Empowerment Through Service: Many individuals were given the opportunity to serve in government positions through Chief Koleoso’s support, leaving a lasting impact on their lives and careers.

Akinola emphasized that Chief Koleoso’s legacy will continue to guide and inspire leaders in Saki and beyond. “He was a man of vision, integrity, and compassion. His contributions to the growth of Saki and Oyo State will never be forgotten,” Akinola concluded.

As Saki mourns the loss of its beloved leader, Hon. Akinola called for unity and continued dedication to the values Chief Koleoso embodied—service, development, and a commitment to the people.

May the soul of Chief Dr. Adeniyi Michael Koleoso rest in peace.
