The Great Club of Oke Ogun, Saki, has joined the chorus of tributes following the passing of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, a revered statesman and a distinguished leader from the Oke Ogun region. The club, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Daud Aderogba, expressed profound grief over the loss of a man whose life was marked by service, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the development of Oke Ogun and beyond.

In a statement issued on behalf of the club, Alhaji Aderogba described Chief Koleosho as a pillar of strength and a guiding light for many within the Oke Ogun community. “Chief Michael Koleosho was not just a leader; he was a mentor, a visionary, and a true son of Oke Ogun. His contributions to the socio-economic and educational advancement of our region are immeasurable,” Aderogba said.

The Great Club of Oke Ogun highlighted Chief Koleosho’s legacy as one that will continue to inspire future generations. They noted that his involvement in various community and state-wide projects laid a strong foundation for the growth and development of Oke Ogun. The club also acknowledged his role in mentoring young leaders, fostering unity, and promoting progress across the region.

Alhaji Aderogba extended the club’s deepest sympathies to Chief Koleosho’s family, as well as to the broader community that feels the weight of this loss. He emphasized that while Chief Koleosho’s physical presence may be gone, his spirit and the values he stood for will remain ever-present in the hearts of those who knew him.

“We have lost a great leader, but his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the lasting impact of his work,” Alhaji Aderogba stated. The club reaffirmed its commitment to uphold the principles Chief Koleosho championed and to continue the work of building a stronger, more united Oke Ogun, as he would have wanted.

Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, who also held the title of Babalaje of Saki Land, was a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government and a former National Chairman of the defunct Alliance for Democracy. He was recently honored by Governor Seyi Makinde, who renamed the Oke Ogun Polytechnic after him, recognizing his monumental contributions to education and public service in Oyo State.
