The Oyo State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced a revision to the timetable for the upcoming computer-based tests (CBT) for job seekers. The adjustment comes in response to the anticipated nationwide protest that may commence on August 1, 2024.

Initially, the CBT examination was scheduled to take place from July 29 to August 2, 2024, as announced by TESCOM Chairman Pastor Akinade Alamu in Ibadan. However, to prevent any disruptions due to the potential protest, the Commission, in collaboration with its partnering agencies, including the management of the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre (DLC), decided to compress the examination schedule to three days.

“The examination will now commence on Monday, July 29, 2024, and conclude on Wednesday, July 31, 2024,” Pastor Alamu stated. He assured that all necessary arrangements have been made in coordination with relevant stakeholders and that the change will not pose any threat to the candidates.

The management of DLC has agreed to provide additional facilities, personnel, and logistics to support the revised schedule. “After a tripartite meeting among all relevant stakeholders, DLC has agreed to provide more halls, computers, and facilities so that the test can be conducted efficiently within the three days,” Alamu explained.

Candidates are advised to regularly check their phones, as notifications are being sent via text messages and emails. The revised timetable is also available on the Oyo State job portal.

The new examination schedule is as follows:
