Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has approved a fresh round of appointments and administrative changes involving the state Advisory Council, Hospitals Management Board and other government agencies.
The latest changes include the appointment of three new members to the Oyo State Advisory Council, as well as the reassignment of three government officials to new responsibilities.

The development was announced in Ibadan on Friday, September 18, 2026, by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
The newly appointed members of the Oyo State Advisory Council are Engineer Abu Salami, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo and Hon. (Mrs.) Lydia Bankole.
The Advisory Council is chaired by legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN.
In another major appointment, Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole has been named Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.
The appointment, according to the announcement, was conveyed through appointment letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD.
The governor also approved changes in the responsibilities of three other officials as part of the latest administrative adjustments.
Mrs. Adeboyin Elizabeth Oladokun, who previously served as a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.
Similarly, Abiodun Oluwaseun Friday, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Delivery, has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency.
Oluwaseun takes over from Engineer Muftau Open Salawu, who is the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.
Also affected by the latest changes is Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, who previously served on the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS.
Akinsanmi has now been appointed a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.
The state government stated that all the appointments and reassignments took effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.
Governor Makinde congratulated all the newly appointed officials and charged them to approach their new responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of Oyo State.
The latest appointments therefore bring fresh changes to the composition of the state’s Advisory Council and the leadership of some key government institutions, while also assigning new responsibilities to some existing government officials.
