The Folashade Foundation has constructed and commissioned a sick bay for the Special Basic School, Abata Ogun, Saki, in memory of the late Matron Florence Folashade Olatunbosun, who died in 2006.

The sick bay was commissioned by the Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaleye Akinola, who commended the Folashade Foundation for the kind gesture and its commitment to improving healthcare for members of the community.
Speaking at the commissioning, Akinola described the late Matron Florence Folashade Olatunbosun as a virtuous woman, while praying that she would continue to rest in peace.
The Chairman, who highlighted his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the local government, disclosed that a maternity facility constructed under his administration is ready for commissioning soon.

Akinola also promised that the Local Government would support the newly commissioned sick bay by providing experienced health workers to ensure that it effectively serves the school and surrounding communities.
Speaking on behalf of the Olatunbosun family, Mrs Adebimpe Adejuwon said the vision and mission behind the establishment of the sick bay were to give back to the community and improve the health status of pupils at the school as well as residents of communities in the area.

Adejuwon appealed to the Local Government Chairman to complement the foundation’s effort by furnishing the school with experienced health workers to operate the facility effectively.
The Headmistress of the Special Basic School expressed appreciation to the Folashade Foundation for the gesture, assuring that the school would make judicious use of the sick bay.

Similarly, the Chairman of the School’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) commended the Folashade Foundation for providing the facility and contributing to the welfare of the school and its pupils.

The late Mrs Florence Folashade Olatunbosun, who died in 2006, was a successful matron during her lifetime. She was married to the late Col. Abel Olatunbosun (Rtd.), who served as Chairman of the Old Ifedapo Local Government.
