The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, and the party’s governorship candidate in Oyo State, Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke, have reaffirmed their commitment to the unity and growth of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This formed the highlight of a strategic meeting held in Abuja when Adegoke paid a courtesy visit to the former Vice President.

According to a statement on the meeting, the visit was aimed at congratulating Atiku on his emergence as the ADC presidential candidate and formally wishing him success in the 2027 presidential election.

The engagement, it noted, reflected mutual respect, cordiality and a shared determination to strengthen the party and ensure its success at all levels.

In a reciprocal gesture, Atiku congratulated Adegoke on his emergence as the ADC governorship candidate in Oyo State and offered prayers for his success in the forthcoming governorship election.

The meeting, according to the statement, further underscored the spirit of unity, reconciliation and collective responsibility within the party.

It also highlighted the importance of strategic collaboration among key stakeholders as the ADC intensifies efforts to strengthen its structures and position itself for electoral success in the 2027 general elections.

The two candidates were said to have reaffirmed their commitment to working together in advancing the fortunes of the party and fostering cohesion among members nationwide.
