The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday, February 12, 2026, commenced its nationwide Membership Revalidation, Mobilisation and Registration (MRMR) exercise, alongside the inauguration of State MRMR Committees.
The event, held at the Barcelona Hotel in Wuse II, Abuja, drew members of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), party leaders, key stakeholders, and supporters from across the country.
Party leaders described the MRMR initiative as a strategic and transformative move designed to strengthen the ADC’s internal structures, enhance grassroots engagement, and reposition the party for greater national relevance. They urged members nationwide to participate actively in order to build a credible, updated, and inclusive membership database.
The leadership also announced that the new membership card issued under the MRMR exercise supersedes all previously issued ADC membership cards, rendering the old cards invalid. Members were therefore directed to complete the revalidation and registration process to maintain their active membership status and enjoy full party privileges.
According to the party, the inauguration of the State MRMR Committees reflects its commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective coordination at the state level. The committees have been tasked with ensuring the smooth, transparent, and successful implementation of the exercise across the federation.
Reaffirming its broader vision, the ADC stated that it remains committed to deepening democratic values, expanding its membership base, and building a stronger, people-centred political movement throughout Nigeria.
