The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alerted the general public, party members and supporters to the circulation of fraudulent online links, websites and social media handles falsely claiming to be the party’s official membership registration platform.
In an official statement, the ADC made it clear that there is currently no authorised membership registration link or website in operation, urging Nigerians to completely disregard all registration links presently being circulated.
The party clarified that it has not launched any public online membership registration platform at this time. It added that work is ongoing on an official registration and verification platform, which will be formally announced through verified party channels when completed.
The ADC further cautioned that it would never request payments or sensitive personal information through unofficial links, WhatsApp messages, direct messages or third-party websites. It warned the public not to submit details such as names, phone numbers, Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) information, Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) or any payment details to unverified platforms.
As part of its advisory, the party urged members of the public not to click on suspicious or unverified links, refrain from sharing unconfirmed registration messages and promptly report any suspicious links to the ADC through its official communication channels.
The party stressed that all legitimate ADC announcements, including the eventual launch of its official membership registration platform, would only be communicated through verified ADC platforms and formal statements issued by the party leadership.
According to the statement, the ADC is actively addressing the situation and will take all necessary steps to safeguard the public and protect the integrity of the party.
