The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Oke-Ogun Branch, is set to celebrate its 2025 ANAN Week with a series of well-structured professional, intellectual, and social programmes aimed at reinforcing ethical accounting practices, institutional development, and community advancement across the Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo State.
The forthcoming week’s celebration will be held tomorrow at the Surveying and Go-Informatics hall, The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Sakí, now Micheal Adeniyi Koleosho Polytechnic, which is expected to bring together accounting professionals, academics, traditional rulers, public office holders and key stakeholders from within and outside the region. The programme will provide a platform for robust engagement on the evolving role of accountants in governance, economic management and sustainable development, while also promoting unity and collaboration among members of the Association.
In a statement ahead of the event, the Chairman of the Association, Mr Ipadeola MKO, said the 2025 ANAN Week will focus on strengthening professionalism, accountability and proactive participation among members. He urged members to be innovative and development-driven, noting that the growth and relevance of ANAN in Oke-Ogun depend largely on collective commitment to integrity, capacity building and active involvement in Association activities.
A major highlight of the 2025 ANAN Week will be the conferment of awards on distinguished personalities who have made remarkable contributions to the accounting profession, public service, education and community development. Those to be honoured include Alhaji Fatai Adetunji Adebayo, FCNA; Hon. Ogundiran Jacob; Dr. Abdulmalik Abdulazeez, FCNA; Alhaja Oladimeji-Dauda Mujidat Abiodun; Mrs. Olawuwo Cecilia Ayanfunke; Alhaji Lateef Bayo Yusuf, FCA, FCTI; Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu, FCNA; Dr. Mustapha Muhammed Basiru, FCNA; Mr. Adebayo Adediran O., FCNA; Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi; Col. (Rtd.) Dr Gbenga Adegbola, FCNA; Hon. (Prince) Adedokun Emmanuel Olalekan; Hon. Rasaq Morufu Adeyemi; Hon. Raimi Waliu Olasunkanmi; Alhaji Bashir Tayo Lawal, CNA, FCTI, PhD (in view); Hon. Rasaq Bisi Fadiran; and Hon. Alhaji Saheed Alaran.
The Royal Father of the Day will be His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. (Surveyor) Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, whose presence is expected to add cultural depth and royal prestige to the celebration. Also expected to be honoured is the Olugbalejo Agba, Dr. (Surveyor) Ajibola Sikiru Adetona, Rector, Michael Adeniyi Koleosho Polytechnic, Saki, in recognition of his contributions to education and professional development.
The Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony will be chaired by Dr Mustapha Muhammed Basiru, FCNA, who also serves as Chairman of the AGM and Awards Committee. The Host Committee is being led by Alhaji Yusuf Waheed. Host Constituency Local Government Coordinators for the event include Comrade Saka Lateef Aderoju (Saki East), Comrade Adams Olufemi (Saki West) and Mr Adeola Olufemi (Atisbo).
The event is being organised under the leadership of the ANAN Oke-Ogun Branch Committee, comprising Mr Ipadeola M.K.O., Alhaji Fatai Adetunji Adebayo, Alhaji Babalola Akeem Iwalesin, Alhaji Abu Azeez Iso-Ola, Mr Oke Adeyemi, Mr Oluokun Sunday, Mrs Nafiu Nafisat Adebola, and Mrs Okediran Magret Kehinde.
Local Government Coordinators across the Oke-Ogun zone are also playing strategic roles in ensuring a successful outing. They include Mr. Fagbemi Jimoh Alamu, CNA (Irepo); Comrade Saka Lateef Aderoju, CNA (Saki East); Mr. Aborode John Adedamola, CNA (Iwajowa); Mrs. Okediran Magret Kehinde, CNA (Itesiwaju); Mr. Oni Ayoola, CNA (Oorelope); Mr. Adams Olufemi, CNA (Saki West); Mrs. Alawode Serifat, CNA (Kajola); Mr. Adeola Olufemi, CNA (Atisbo); Prince Oyebola Wasiu, CNA (Iseyin); and Mr. Alao Sunday Abidemi, CNA (Olorunsogo).
The Association has also acknowledged the support of its Patron, Prof. Muhammad Shehu Tijani, FCNA, and its Legal Adviser, Alhaji Barr. Waheed Bayo Raji, whose guidance continues to strengthen the institutional framework of the Branch. The Grand Coordinator, Alhaji Fatai Adetunji Adebayo, FCNA, is leading overall coordination for the 2025 ANAN Week.
Comrade Saka Lateef Aderoju, Saki East Local Government Coordinator and Coordinator for the Council of Elders, appealed to members, partners and stakeholders to support the event, describing the forthcoming 2025 ANAN Week as a collective project aimed at advancing the ideals of professionalism, accountability and development in Oke-Ogun.
