Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has made fresh appointments into two key state institutions โ the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) and the Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

The appointments, announced through letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, take immediate effect.
Comrade Adeniyi Afeez Babatunde has been named the new Chairman of OYSIEC. Other members of the electoral commission include Olatunde Akintunde Theophilus, Mrs. Adebayo Mariam Adepeju, Mr. Olanrewaju Emmanuel, Chief Kunmi Agboola, Mr. Remi Ayoade, Mr. Sunday Falana, and Mr. Babatunde Ige โ bringing the total number of appointees in the commission to eight.
Similarly, Governor Makinde approved the appointment of seven members to the Governing Council of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso. The council is chaired by Prof. Banji Oyeyinka Oyelaran, with Mr. Olatunde Gabriel Oyelade, Dr. Bello Adebayo Taiwo, Mrs. Isola Agnes Bolanle, Dr. Akintunde Kehinde Ayinde, Prof. Olawale Adebayo Olakulehin, and Prof. Adenike Olugbenga-Bello serving as members.

Governor Makinde charged the new appointees to demonstrate commitment, integrity, and loyalty in the discharge of their responsibilities, urging them to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state through their respective roles.
The appointments are with immediate effect.
