The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the successful completion of its documentation process with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), signalling a major step toward full preparedness for the 2027 general elections.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, confirmed the development on Monday, stating that the ADC had met all requirements set by the electoral body.
“We have successfully completed our documentation with INEC. In fact, we were able to meet the outstanding documentation as of Thursday last week,” Abdullahi said.
It was gathered that some of the outstanding issues addressed included the submission of the names of principal officers of the party, particularly the signatures of the National Chairman, David Mark, and the National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola.
In a related development, a former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, declared that the ADC is fully prepared for the 2027 general elections. He noted that the party’s progress in resolving its documentation issues with INEC reflects its commitment to strengthening internal structures and presenting itself as a credible alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape.
The Coalition for ADC also echoed the assurance of readiness, stressing that the party is now strategically positioned to compete in the forthcoming elections.
