The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Remo Federal Constituency by-election, following an overwhelming victory across the three Local Government Areas (LGAs) that make up the constituency.

Announcing the results on Saturday, INEC confirmed that Elegbeji secured a total of 41,237 votes, defeating her closest rival, Bolarinwa Oluwole of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 14,324 votes.
Breakdown of results by LGA:
- Ikenne LGA: APC – 10,227; PDP – 5,595
- Remo North LGA: APC – 8,052; PDP – 992; ADC – 37; ADP – 43
- Sagamu LGA: APC – 22,958; PDP – 7,737
The outcome gives the APC candidate a commanding lead and widens the party’s grip on the constituency.

With her victory, Elegbeji consolidates the APC’s political strength in the Remo axis, a result that is already being seen as a significant statement ahead of future elections.
