The Oyo State Government has fixed Thursday, July 17, 2025, for the conduct of the Screening and Placement Exercise into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) across the state.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, who noted that the exercise would commence by 7:00 a.m. in all designated screening centres.
Hon. Olayiwola advised pupils from public and approved private primary schools participating in the exercise to arrive early and come with their writing materials.
He also instructed principals and heads of screening centres to ensure thorough preparations and effective coordination, adding that officials from the Ministry and members of the Examination Ethics Committee would be deployed to monitor the process and safeguard its integrity.
The Commissioner issued a stern warning against examination malpractice and cautioned parents and guardians to avoid loitering around the centres, as only candidates and authorized personnel would be granted access.
