As Oyo State marks the fifth anniversary of the passing of its former governor, Senator Abiola Isiaq Ajimobi, tributes have continued to pour in from across political and social circles. Among those who honoured the late leader is All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and 2027 governorship hopeful, Dr. Gbenga Adegbola.

In a heartfelt message released through his media team, Dr. Adegbola joined millions of Nigerians, particularly indigenes of Oyo State, in celebrating what he described as “a life full of positive impact.”
“You are remembered today, five years after your glorious exit. You lived a life of impact — years filled with meaningful legacies. You were a leader who contributed immensely to the social, economic, industrial, and political development of Oyo State,” Adegbola stated.
Reflecting on Ajimobi’s legacy, the business mogul-turned-politician noted that even in death, the late governor’s contributions continue to inspire and shape the state’s progress.
Dr. Adegbola also extended prayers to the family left behind by the former governor, expressing hope that they continue to find strength and peace in the values and vision Ajimobi embodied during his lifetime.
The tribute underscores the enduring influence of the late Ajimobi, who served two terms as governor and is widely credited with transforming various sectors of governance in Oyo State.
