The Action Peoples Party (APP) has secured victory in 22 out of 23 chairmanship positions in the Rivers State local government election.
This announcement was made by the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Justice Adolphus Enebeli, on Saturday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
However, Enebeli stated that the results for Etche Local Government Area have been suspended, as collation is still ongoing. He further mentioned that the results for Etche, along with the outcomes of the 319 councillorship seats, will be declared at a later date.
