Marking his first 100 days in office, Hon. Ayoade Akeem Adewale, Political Head/Administrator of Aare Latosa LCDA, empowered youths across the council with POS machines and startup capital. This initiative complements Gov. Seyi Makinde’s ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare of Oyo State citizens through a people-focused agenda.

In his keynote speech, Ayoade highlighted Gov. Makinde’s administration’s commitment to alleviating the effects of national economic hardship. He noted various empowerment programs, palliatives, and skills training as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to improve the living conditions of Oyo residents. Ayoade stressed the importance of grassroots empowerment, especially for the youth, as a means of promoting stability and development.

At the event, Hon. Toyin Balogun, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, presented the POS machines to some beneficiaries. She commended Ayoade for aligning with Gov. Makinde’s vision at the grassroots level. Balogun urged the beneficiaries to dedicate themselves to the business, noting that their progress would be reviewed and rewarded.

In his welcome address, Deacon Ajebisi Olabode, Head of Local Government Administration, emphasized that the empowerment program was designed to ease the ongoing economic challenges. He encouraged beneficiaries to make effective use of the resources provided.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Ezekiel expressed gratitude to Hon. Ayoade and prayed for continuous development in both Aare Latosa LCDA and Oyo State.

The event was graced by several key figures from the local government, political heads, and administrative leaders. Hon. Femi Oladejo, Political Head and Administrator of Irepodun LCDA, was present, alongside Hon. Najeemdeen, Secretary of Aare Latosa LCDA, and Deacon Ajebisi Olabode, the Head of Local Government Administration. Other notable attendees included Pastor Oluwaseun Dada, Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Rotimi Ajibola, Director of Finance and Supplies, and Alhaja Sunmonu, Director of Education and Social Services. The Director of Agric and Natural Resources, Mr. Femi Oladeji, as well as Mrs. Saanuade, the Deputy Director of Education and Social Services, and Mrs. Bukky Sanusi, the Internal Auditor, were also in attendance. Comrade Kemi Adeniji, the Ibadan North LG NULGE Chairman, and Mrs. Adetoyinbo, the Establishment Officer, further added to the distinguished list of attendees, ensuring broad representation of the local governance structure.

This event demonstrated a unified effort across all levels of local governance to support youth empowerment and improve the community amidst ongoing economic challenges.
