The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Saki West Local Government, Rev. Okunlola Emmanuel Olalere, Ph.D, JP, (JP).has expressed his opposition to the planned hunger protests in Nigeria. In a statement made available to Reality News Today, Rev. Okunlola emphasized the potential dangers of the protests, particularly the risk of them being hijacked by unscrupulous elements.

Rev. Okunlola warned that such protests could ultimately harm the common man, who might suffer the most if the situation escalates. “The fear of hijackers should be a concern for all citizens,” he stated, cautioning that the aftermath of such demonstrations could lead to unintended consequences that negatively impact ordinary Nigerians.

He urged Nigerians, especially the youth, to consider the potential havoc that the proposed protests might cause. Rev. Okunlola called for patience and faith, expressing his belief that the Almighty God would intervene to save the nation from its current difficulties. “I want us all to believe that the Almighty God will rescue our dear nation Nigeria and Nigerians,” he said, expressing hope for a brighter future. “So, Nigeria and Nigerians shall be great again.”

Rev. Okunlola’s statement adds to the growing discourse surrounding the planned hunger protests, highlighting the need for caution and urging a collective trust in divine intervention for the nation’s revival.
