President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today enacted the National Minimum Wage Amendment Bill 2024, establishing a new minimum wage of ₦70,000 per month. This wage will be reviewed every three years.
The signing occurred during the Federal Executive Council meeting, where the Head of Service highlighted the law as a significant step toward ensuring worker welfare. Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other National Assembly leaders attended the ceremony, having expedited the bill’s passage.

President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the National Assembly for their swift action, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to improving living standards for workers.
